About The Position

Gundersen Health System is seeking a Residency/Fellowship Program Assistant to join their Medical Education department. This role provides customer service and engagement to learners, supporting multiple residency and fellowship programs. The position is located in La Crosse, WI, and requires the candidate to be within a one-hour drive for occasional in-person events. Requirements

  • Associate degree required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills across all platforms.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to multitask and switch between tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable with learning and using new technologies.

Nice To Haves

  • Interest in pursuing a bachelor’s degree is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneDrive, Forms, and Planner is a plus (training available).

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to multiple residency and fellowship programs such as General Surgery Residency, Hem/Onc Fellowship, Hospice & Palliative Fellowship, and Emergency Medicine PA Fellowship.
  • Schedule meetings and manage calendars using Microsoft Outlook.
  • Communicate effectively via email, phone, and chat.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Adapt to new technologies and software platforms.
  • Collaborate with team members and program leadership.
