About The Position
The Peninsula Chicago is seeking a Reservations Agent to support its guest-focused service at a luxury Five-Star, Five-Diamond property on Chicago’s Michigan Avenue. The role is part of a diverse, multi-outlet property and is responsible for the efficient operation of Reservations functions, consistent adherence to Peninsula and Forbes standards, and coordination with other departments to create a guest-centric experience. The position requires compliance with Head Office database requirements and effective handovers.
Requirements
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Ability to handle a high level of work demand and pressure.
- Great organizational skills.
- Must have work authorization in the United States.
Nice To Haves
- Two years of room Reservations experience in a luxury property is ideal.
- Knowledge of PMS/Opera.
- Some knowledge of the Housekeeping department.
Responsibilities
- Ensure proper operation of all Reservations responsibilities.
- Know and adhere fully to Peninsula and Forbes standards.
- Maintain consistent performance in accordance with Peninsula and Forbes standards.
- Communicate with all departments to create a guest-centric experience.
- Comply fully with Head Office database requirements.
- Ensure efficient operation of Reservations responsibilities and provide efficient handovers.
