About The Position

The Reservationist provides exceptional service while making reservations for leisure, corporate, and group travelers, as well as for the signature restaurant, Herons. The position works closely with all departments as a cohesive team and assists the Reservations Manager and Revenue Manager with daily responsibilities, reserving guest rooms according to the hotel’s financial strategy.

This is a full-time position requiring open availability to work 40 or more hours per week. The stated wage range includes up to an additional $1.50 per hour shop calls bonus.

Requirements

• Excellent written and telephone communication skills and etiquette.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Ability to type faster than 50 words per minute.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
• Experience in a call center setting; hotel reservations experience preferred.
• Experience with OPERA and OpenTable preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer reservation calls for the hotel, restaurant, and spa.
• Enter reservation information into OPERA, OpenTable, or Spasoft, the respective hotel, restaurant, and spa management systems.
• Check department email and respond accordingly.
• Make gift cards by phone and through the online purchasing site.
• Communicate guest preferences and pertinent information quickly and clearly to the affected department.
• Review and monitor online reservations booked through SynXis to ensure accuracy.
• Provide clear descriptions of hotel features and amenities.
• Maintain Forbes 5 Star and AAA 5 Diamond quality standards for phone verbiage and etiquette.
• Assist the Reservations Manager and Revenue Manager with daily responsibilities and reserve guest rooms according to the hotel’s financial strategy.
