About The Position

The Real World Evidence Unit, within the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, conducts high-quality, decision-grade research using real world health system data to answer questions that matter to health system decision makers, clinicians, patients, and industry partners. We are a core member of the Alberta Real World Evidence Consortium (ARWEC) and the Alberta Drug and Technology Evaluation Consortium (ADTEC), collaborating with provincial and national partners to ensure that health decisions are grounded in robust, real-world evidence. At the Real World Evidence Unit, we believe great research happens in a great environment. The Real World Evidence Unit is seeking a proactive, collaborative, and analytically driven Health Economist to join our growing team of health researchers dedicated to generating evidence to inform healthcare decision-making. This role sits at the intersection of health economics, real-world data, and policy impact. You will lead economic evaluations and applied research studies using real-world health system data to inform clinical, policy, and funding decisions across Alberta and beyond.
