Research Technologist – Parker Lab (1 year Limited Tenure)
About The Position
This is a 1-year limited tenure position where the Research Technologist will work alongside a team of data scientists at Mayo Clinic Arizona to design, curate, and populate a large database of human brain data. This role is ideal for someone launching their career in neural data science and will require database organizational skills, including experience with synchronization of multi-modality data. Experience with MATLAB and Python is preferred, as is prior work with Cloud computing resources such as Google Cloud. The applicant should have experience with handling and manipulating biosignal time series data. There will be opportunities to learn new skills while moving the project forward. This is an in-person/on-site position on the Phoenix, Arizona campus of Mayo Clinic. This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship, and Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program. The position may have the possibility of extension or conversion to a regular position.

Responsibilities
- Sets up and performs routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals, grant commitments, i.e. assays, cell/tissue culture, animal studies, etc.
- Monitors results, reports unusual outcomes and suggests modifications.
- Collects, enters and summarizes data.
- Assists in the maintenance of lab equipment and supplies.
- Performs basic statistical data analysis; prepares tables/charts/graphs and assists in organizing data.
- Presents at research laboratory meetings and contributes to writing of manuscripts.
- Works under supervision and may perform some assignments independently as discussed and approved by Principal Investigator.
- Design, curate, and populate a large database of human brain data.
