About The Position

A Research Technician position at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Services. This position promotes research and ensures that the integrity and quality of the research is maintained and is conducted in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, federal regulations, sponsor guidelines, and institutional policies and procedures. He or she would also perform research assistance by processing biological samples, performing experiments, and managing and analyzing data.

Requirements

HS Diploma or GED PLUS two (2) years related lab research experience

Responsibilities

Performs laboratory procedures related to basic science research, including processing cell samples, conducting experiments, and analyzing and interpreting research data under the direction of the Principal Investigator and senior laboratory staff.
Maintains accurate and detailed electronic and hardcopy records of experiments, results, and data analysis.
Assists with laboratory operations and administration by ordering laboratory supplies, obtaining quotes, submitting purchase requests, tracking orders, and maintaining inventory records for reagents and supplies.
Supports laboratory compliance by maintaining safety records, procedures, and documentation for audits and inspections.
Performs additional duties as assigned in support of laboratory and research operations.
