About The Position

The Research Technician assists laboratory personnel and research staff in the execution and documentation of experiments and research activities. This position supports ongoing research projects by preparing and processing materials, following established protocols, and assisting with data collection in both laboratory and community-based settings, including behavioral and eye-tracking studies involving child and adult participants. The Research Technician performs routine research tasks under general supervision, applies standard procedures to complete assignments, and provides general support to ensure efficient research operations.

Requirements

  • At least one (1) year of relevant experience supporting laboratory, research, or project-based work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience following structured processes or protocols and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and attention to detail skills.
  • Effective communication skills, including the ability to interact with research participants, including children and families, as well as students and research staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
