The lab of Emre Koksal in Electrical and Computer Engineering, College of Engineering, The Ohio State University, Columbus, OH, seeks a Research Technician. The position will offer competitive salary and benefits. The Research Technician will be responsible for building a multi-layer energy-optimal architecture for data centers with a joint supply and load side allocation approach. The position involves the development of probabilistic methods involving Markov chains, processes, and large-deviations theory on the supply side. On the load side, the work involves a power and thermal-aware feedback GPU scheduling framework that helps real-time embedded systems to meet their deadlines despite unexpected runtime execution time variations, while achieving the best system performance under desired power and thermal constraints. The project will also result in the authorship of two research papers submitted to major conferences and/or peer-reviewed journals.
