About The Position

The Ohio State University, College of Engineering is seeking a Research Technician 2 that supports data-driven research initiatives through the application of advanced data analytics, machine learning techniques, and domainspecific scientific knowledge. This role is responsible for processing and analyzing complex datasets, developing and optimizing machine learning models, and integrating physics-based insights to enhance model performance and interpretability. The incumbent ensures the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of analytical outputs through rigorous validation and testing methods. Working collaboratively with research teams, this position contributes to the advancement of scientific understanding and the development of innovative, data-informed solutions.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED, Certification or vocational training may be required.
  • At least one year of relevant experience in a laboratory (potentially including time spent conducting research as a student).
  • Proficient in multitasking problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in relevant field
  • Two years of relevant experience preferred
