Join Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus where research and surgery are advanced, technology is leading-edge, patient care is world class and caregivers are family. Here, you will work alongside a passionate and dedicated team, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world. The Chakraborty lab studies chromatin biology in the context of dysregulated activity of oxygen-dependent enzymes, also known as dioxygenases, including the JumonjiC-family histone demethylases (KDMs). The physiological implications of dioxygenase dysfunction are especially relevant in kidney cancer, where these enzymes are frequently mutated, as well as in hypoxic tumors where inadequate oxygen availability can lead to enzyme inactivation. The laboratory’s central research focus is to exploit dioxygenase dysfunction and the resulting epigenetic abnormalities to identify targetable vulnerabilities in cancer. As a Research Technician on our team, you will perform laboratory techniques and procedures required for assigned experimental studies, assist with establishing and scheduling analyses, conduct tests using a range of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, and assemble experimental results for review by research staff.
