About The Position

The Ohio State University, College of Engineering is seeking a Research Technician 3 that assists in the design and implementation of data-driven experiments through the application of data analytics and domain-specific knowledge in support of broader research efforts in natural and engineered systems. This role is responsible for processing and analyzing datasets, developing and analyzing models, and integrating physics-based insights to enhance model performance and interpretability. They will evaluate and select solutions based on established options and procedures. The incumbent ensures the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of analytical outputs through validation and testing methods. Working collaboratively with research teams, this position contributes to the advancement of scientific understanding and the development of innovative, data-informed solutions. The role is also responsible for assistance with preparing research reports and scientific manuscripts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, or a closely related field required.
  • 4 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of relevant experience required with associate’s degree.
  • 0 years of relevant experience required with bachelor’s degree.
  • Proficient in multitasking problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with data analytics and processing and analyzing datasets is preferred.
