About The Position

This Research Technician position is to assist and communicate with the Principal Investigator in the management of the research lab and lab experiments. The laboratory works on vascularized models for cancer and biomedical applications. The role involves preparing and summarizing data for manuscripts and grant proposals, preparing research progress reports, and assisting with the preparation of publications, manuscripts, articles, posters, and abstracts. The technician will also assist in supporting and training other laboratory members and students, manage and maintain laboratory equipment, perform administrative tasks including coordinating lab meetings and safety inspections, maintain stock reagents and solutions, order supplies and equipment, and maintain the laboratory website and manage laboratory communications on social media. Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required; OR 4 years of relevant experience required with High School diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience required with Associate's Degree, or 0 years of relevant experience required with Bachelor's Degree.

Nice To Haves

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in addition to degree (experience can include undergraduate or graduate research).
  • Ability to translate, adapt and apply academic or practical knowledge to research.
  • Ability to work with other researchers and communicate clearly in a group setting.
