About The Position

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC is hiring a full-time Research Support Specialist to work at UHealth in Miami, Florida. The role supports assigned research studies by collecting, compiling, analyzing, and documenting research data; assisting with daily study activities; and providing statistical support. The specialist also coordinates with community partners, monitors study progress and data quality, maintains research records and procedures, and contributes to grant proposals, publications, and presentations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols and adapt to changing priorities and work demands.
Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to a team environment.
Proficiency with office software, technology, and relevant computer applications.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Research, collect, analyze, and synthesize data, and maintain databases.
Conduct quality assurance checks, report on research activity status, and submit monthly activity logs for the protocol.
Organize and coordinate community working group meetings for protocol activities.
Serve as the primary contact for community partners and oversee research data collection at community protocol venues.
Review study progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend solutions.
Prepare and update study research procedures manuals.
Assist with grant proposal preparation by processing regulatory documents for involved institutions and offices.
Contribute to publications and presentations of significant results, including writing and editing materials.
Maintain research files and respond to calls on the research study phone line.
Follow University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets.
