About The Position
The Research Specialist will become familiar with all aspects of working in the Pathology Services Core. They will perform both routine and non-routine histology testing including all aspects of Histotechnology. They will work with the client, when necessary, on the details of their project to maximize the amount of information obtained from the histology. The specialist will assist in the research and development of new methods and tasks. The individual may be required to train and assist in the techniques of immunohistochemistry.
Requirements
- Familiarity with all aspects of working in the Pathology Services Core.
- Proficiency in routine and non-routine histology testing.
- Proficiency in all aspects of Histotechnology.
- Ability to work with clients on project details.
- Ability to assist in research and development of new methods and tasks.
- Ability to train and assist in immunohistochemistry techniques.
