About The Position

The employee will plan and conduct complex research activities to advance project objectives and core deliverables. Under limited supervision, they must be able to design studies, select assessment methods, implement research methods, and laboratory experiments. Oversee study documentation and processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of deliverables. Skills with animal handling and experiments and molecular biology required. Position contingent upon funding.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • Skills with animal handling and experiments and molecular biology required.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and characterize in vitro transcribed RNA and Lipid nano particles
  • Design and perform animal experiments including immunization, tissue harvest and processing, characterization such as Flow cytometry and ELISA
  • Molecular biology characterization assays - Western blotting, PCR, DNA gel electrophoresis and quantification, RNA assays such as dot blot
  • Cell culture, transfection and other cell characterization assays
  • Design and carry out experiments independently.
  • Analyze and interpret data.
  • Carry out trouble-shooting on experiments as needed.
  • Assist data analysis and preparation of manuscripts and reports as needed
  • Assist in managing project deliverables and timelines
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
