A Research Technician C is sought to work in the Penn Center for Brain Injury and Repair to contribute to research in the field of neurotrauma. Specifically, the research seeks to advance understanding of the acute and chronic outcomes of traumatic brain injury including via preclinical modeling and assessment of histological outcomes. This position is contingent on funding. A Research Technician C is sought to work in the Penn Center for Brain Injury and Repair to contribute to research in the field of neurotrauma. Specifically, the research seeks to advance understanding of the acute and chronic outcomes of traumatic brain injury including via preclinical modeling and assessment of histological outcomes. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: help general management of laboratory space, preparation of routine reagents, ordering of supplies and maintenance of laboratory protocols. Under close supervision, the research technician will assist other lab members in performing experiments to meet research project objectives. Assists in daily management of laboratory tools, documentation and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and timely completion of project/program deliverables. Excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as attention to detail, are of great importance. It is essential that the candidate can work well as part of a team. The preferred applicant will have prior experience in tissue processing and immunohistology techniques. This position is contingent on funding.
