The Research Specialist will perform breast cancer research studies at the interface of epidemiology, imaging data science, and implementation science. The Research specialist plays a critical role in overseeing large-scale projects that seek to understand breast cancer risk, participating in the design, conduct, analysis, and writing of breast cancer research studies. The Research Specialist will work in a team environment collaborating closely with a diverse, multi-disciplinary group of faculty and trainees from epidemiology, biostatistics, radiology, oncology, computer science, and engineering, managing tasks to ensure projects remain on schedule. Primary responsibilities include processing and analysis of multimodal datasets including clinical risk factors, imaging data, genetics data, and tumor characteristics. The research specialist will assist with performance of implementation trials to integrate novel approaches to risk assessment. The research specialist will also manage IRB submissions and communications, and creation of presentations, abstracts and manuscripts, manage communications with collaborators, preparing meeting agendas and minutes, and assist with submission of grants.
