About The Position

The Research Senior Technician provides advanced research support within the Department of Psychology by independently conducting standard laboratory and human subjects research activities and supporting broader research projects. This role collects and processes research data, conducts basic experiments, assists with the design and implementation of research studies, and performs preliminary statistical analysis. The Research Senior Technician works with a high level of autonomy on routine work, applies established procedures and precedent to resolve issues, and may provide guidance or training to less experienced colleagues. This is a term position for one year with the possibility of renewal based on performance and availability of funds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• No prior experience required with a Bachelor’s degree
• Two (2) years of relevant experience with an Associate’s degree
• Four (4) years of relevant experience with a High School diploma
• Working knowledge of standard research processes, tools, and methodologies, preferably within a behavioral or social science research environment.
• Ability to independently complete routine research tasks and apply established procedures to resolve issues, escalating as needed.
• Experience supporting data analysis, research documentation, and preparation of reports or manuscripts.
