About The Position

The Meta Recommendation Systems (MRS) Core Modeling team is seeking Research Scientists to develop and deploy advancements in machine learning models and recommendation systems. The work aims to improve recommendation product experiences and includes solving complex technical problems, building new features, and improving existing products across mobile and web platforms. The role also involves applying AI and machine learning techniques to develop intelligent speech and language systems, and contributing research and products that can impact users worldwide.

Requirements

Currently has or is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience; the degree must be completed before joining Meta.
Currently has or is pursuing a PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.
Experience developing software and conducting complex experiments involving large ML/AI models and datasets.
Direct experience in AI/ML/NLP research.
Familiarity with one or more deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment by the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment.
Industry experience in recommendations, ranking, and LLM-related topics.
Interest in implementing new research findings to meet product needs.
Experience bringing machine-learning-based products from research to production.
Experience with interdisciplinary and/or cross-collaboration.
High-impact publications at leading ML/AI conferences and journals, such as ICML, ICLR, KDD, or NeurIPS.
