Pindrop is hiring Research Scientists across experience levels and research domains. The role centers on advancing research across fraud, voice and speech, video, authentication, and deepfake detection, producing reproducible experimental results, and helping translate machine learning research into practical product solutions. Scientists design, implement, and evaluate deep learning algorithms and machine learning models for complex datasets, collaborate with research and engineering teams to move prototypes into production-ready systems, and investigate system behavior and detection gaps to recommend improvements. The role also includes cross-functional collaboration, research and code reviews, and contributions to patents and peer-reviewed publications. More senior researchers may own the research agenda, shape product and business strategy, influence executive decisions, mentor others, and define differentiated research insights. The work requires scientific rigor, persistence through iterative research, ownership of projects, transparent communication, and careful documentation and reproducibility. Researchers use machine learning frameworks to build, train, and evaluate models while balancing experimentation speed with robustness, compliance, and quality. Pindrop describes a remote-first work environment with flexibility and autonomy, alongside regular team on-sites, company-wide events, and other in-person gatherings.
