About The Position

The University of Arkansas, a land grant institution with high research activity, is seeking a Research Scientist in Chemical Engineering. This role involves developing and applying in vitro models of cardiac remodeling for novel therapy screens. The position will also support daily lab management, mentor undergraduate researchers, and train students in lab procedures. The Research Scientist will be expected to present research findings through publications and conference presentations. Regular, reliable attendance and the ability to maintain collegial working relationships are essential functions of this job.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, or Biomedical Engineering from an accredited institution of higher education, conferred by the start of employment.
  • Experience in cell/tissue culture.

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated excellence in previous research, supported by scientific publications.
  • Experience with stem cells and 3-dimensional tissue cultures.
  • Experience with multiplexed assays for high-throughput protein measurements.

Responsibilities
