The Research Program Manager will play a central role in supporting the scientific, operational, and administrative functions of the Madsen Epidemiology and Data Science Laboratory. Reporting to the Principal Investigator (PI), this position is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating research operations, managing complex data workflows, and supporting dissemination of scientific findings. This role requires experience in research administration, data management, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The Program Manager will serve as a key liaison among investigators, trainees, and external collaborators, ensuring efficient execution of research activities in a complex, data-intensive environment. The Madsen lab is housed within the Department of Emergency Medicine at the Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont. The lab is affiliated with the Vermont Center for Cardiovascular and Brain Health ( VCCBH , https://www.med.uvm.edu/heartbrainhealth ). Dr. Madsen’s lab is funded by NIH / NHLBI , NIGMS , NINDS , the American Heart Association, and the AHRQ . The lab works to advance knowledge of both the epidemiology and mechanisms of sex differences in stroke, brain health, and cardiometabolic disease through the lens of preventing and treating disease in women and improving women’s health at the population level.
