The Research Professional will work with Koichiro Ito, Professor at the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy, on research evaluating energy and environmental policies in the United States, Japan, China, India, Chile, and other countries. Projects may use randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental research designs, and structural estimation. The role spans the research process, including collecting tabular and spatial data, developing algorithms to clean and organize data, conducting statistical analyses, running simulations, and preparing manuscripts and presentations. The position is part of EPIC’s pre-doctoral fellowship program, a one- or two-year bridge between college and doctoral study. Fellows work closely with faculty as research assistants and typically attend classes and seminars at EPIC, the University of Chicago, and affiliate institutions. The program is intended for students interested in empirical economics and includes intensive career development within a close-knit community.
