About The Position

Maze is seeking a Research Operations Program Manager to help build and scale their research recruitment operations. This role involves working with prospects, customers, and partners to assist users in recruiting the right participants for their studies. The position is central to Maze's research participant marketplace, where customer recruitment needs are fulfilled through a network of panel partners. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering an excellent customer experience and shaping the processes, tools, and strategy for the recruitment business.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in operations, consulting, research operations, UX research, or market research.
  • Experience in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and experience taking projects from strategy through implementation.
  • Scrappy and resourceful, comfortable figuring things out as you go.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple moving pieces without losing sight of the customer experience.
  • Strong collaborator who can work effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and keep projects moving forward.
  • Exceptional communicator who can deliver recommendations clearly and concisely to customers.
  • Comfortable presenting to both technical and executive audiences, whether through presentations, demos, or more informal discussions.
  • High-energy team player with a strong track record of building collaborative relationships across an organization.

Responsibilities

  • Own relationships with panel vendors, assessing performance for quality and fulfillment to prioritize and route orders.
  • Onboard new panel vendors based on business needs, including due diligence for quality and compatibility.
  • Review and interpret customer recruitment requirements and assess feasibility.
  • Place and manage orders across the network of panel vendors.
  • Monitor order progress and fulfillment, proactively identifying and flagging issues or delays.
  • Troubleshoot common fulfillment challenges, such as low incidence rates and screener drop-off, and escalate when needed.
  • Build end-to-end processes to improve the efficiency and scalability of the operating model.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to help shape and build internal tools that support operations.
  • Bring operational insights into decisions regarding the product roadmap and pricing.
  • Develop customer-facing materials to make the recruitment offering easy to understand and use.
  • Take on additional areas of ownership as the business grows, based on strengths and interests.
