About The Position

Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario (YWHO) is a network of 32 Integrated Youth Services (IYS) networks operating in over 40 communities, providing youth aged 12-25 with walk-in access to youth-centered, community-based mental health and wellness services. YWHO collaborates with youth, family members, service providers, and partners through co-creation to improve service relevance, acceptability, and youth-friendliness. The hubs are provincially consistent in core features and locally adapted, offering and connecting to evidence-based services including mental health care, substance use health services, primary care, education, employment, housing, peer support, and family support. As IYS expands nationally, a pan-Canadian youth data platform is being implemented to enable YWHO and other IYS networks to share data and knowledge on youth and family experiences, needs, service impact, and expansion strategies. A youth- and equity-focused data governance framework is foundational to this platform, ensuring data quality, security, accessibility, and appropriate sharing and use. YWHO is seeking a full-time, 2-year contract Research Methods Specialist (Data Steward) to support the development and continuous improvement of YWHO’s data governance framework and YWHO’s participation in the pan-Canadian IYS data platform implementation. This role involves managing and overseeing YWHO’s data assets to ensure data quality, privacy, security, and compliance. The Data Steward will also support other YWHO research, evaluation, and data quality initiatives by enhancing data infrastructure and related capacity building. Reporting to YWHO’s Director, Data Management and Evaluation, the successful candidate will collaborate with internal YWHO data holders, other IYS Data Stewards, research partners across Canada, data engineers from CAMH’s Krembil Centre for Neuro-informatics (KCNI), and project managers to ensure the effective, ethical, and responsible incorporation, use, and management of data for the IYS data platform and other youth mental health research projects. Responsibilities
