About The Position

Applied Intuition is seeking multiple passionate Research Interns to join its Research Group. This group focuses on creating cutting-edge technology for next-generation physical AI, particularly in end-to-end autonomous driving and robotic generalist applications. The team comprises leading experts with significant academic and industry contributions, including multiple Best Paper awards at premier conferences. Researchers have access to extensive data and industry-leading tools to develop and deploy methods into various autonomous and robotic systems. Interns will contribute to research, learn industry best practices, and see their improvements immediately impact customers and the business.

Requirements

  • Strong research background and skills on relevant topics
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively on projects
  • Current PhD (or MSc) studies in machine learning, computer vision and graphics, robotics
  • Passion for next-generation, scalable autonomy and robotics

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research and support the team in one of the following areas: Humanoid, general robotics and human data collection hardware experiences (both utilization and design)
  • Conduct research and support the team in one of the following areas: Large-scale robotic simulation construction, deformable object simulation, and its utilization in RL training
  • Conduct research and support the team in one of the following areas: Human data processing, retargeting, pose estimation, SLAM
  • Work closely with the Research Scientists and Engineers on high quality research publications for submission to top-tier conferences
