The Research II position works with Dr. Lyons and the Cancer Rehabilitation (CaRe) Lab on an NIH-funded, multisite study of a telehealth intervention designed to maximize functional recovery after breast cancer treatment. The interventionist delivers individual sessions covering cancer survivorship education, goal-setting, problem-solving, and priority elicitation, following the study protocol. Participants may choose telephone or videoconference sessions, and interventionists document session timing and content in a study REDCap database. The role is designed for remote work and requires access to a private space for sessions. The project manager assigns participants based on their preferences and the interventionists’ availability, so flexibility in working hours is preferred. Training is provided after hire and continues as new tasks arise. The role is ideally suited to an occupational therapist, nurse, or other clinical specialist seeking research experience.
