About The Position

The College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join a collaborative research laboratory focused on neural mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease, hypertension-associated cognitive dysfunction, neuroinflammation, and the effects of environmental exposures on brain and cardiovascular health. The successful candidate will conduct original research involving the planning, maintenance, and completion of research projects directed toward the discovery of new knowledge, techniques, and concepts. The position requires advanced scientific knowledge, independent judgment, and hands-on experience with specialized research methodologies. Candidates should be able to work independently while also contributing to interdisciplinary collaborations within a dynamic research environment.

Requirements

  • PhD degree in content specific area of research

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with techniques such as telemetry-based physiological recordings, stereotaxic injections, molecular and cellular assays, histological techniques, confocal imaging, and complex data analysis is desired.
