About The Position

Reporting to Director, Strategic Initiatives & Community Integration, the Coordinator provides specialized research, evaluation, grant development, and knowledge translation that supports organizational planning, program development, strategic initiatives, and community-based innovation. The position contributes to the development of evidence-informed approaches by identifying, analyzing, and translating leading practices, emerging research, and measurable outcomes relevant to the needs of St. Paul’s Hospital and the communities it serves. The Coordinator functions as a resource to leaders, physicians, project teams, researchers, community organizations, and funding partners by supporting environmental scans, literature reviews, program evaluations, grant applications, performance measurement frameworks, and research activities. The position assists organizational leaders in understanding what works, why it works, and how successful models may be adapted to the Saskatchewan context.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of experience in research, evaluation, quality improvement, policy analysis, grant development, or related work.
  • Experience conducting literature reviews, environmental scans, and evidence syntheses.
  • Experience supporting program evaluation and performance measurement activities.
  • Experience preparing grant applications and funding proposals.
  • Master's degree in Health Sciences, Public Health, Epidemiology, Health Administration, Nursing, Social Sciences, Community Development, Public Policy, Research Methodology, or a related field.
  • Advanced research and analytical skills.
  • Strong technology skills, including research-based applications.
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis capabilities.
  • Program evaluation and outcomes measurement knowledge.
  • Grant writing and proposal development skills.
  • Excellent written communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information into practical recommendations.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to equity, reconciliation, social justice, and service to vulnerable populations; ability to work within and support Catholic Health Ethics.
  • Appreciation for the mission, vision, and values of St. Paul’s Hospital and the legacy of the Grey Nuns.

Nice To Haves

  • PhD preferred.
  • Additional training in program evaluation, implementation science, quality improvement, research methodology, or data analytics is considered an asset.
  • Experience working within healthcare, community-based services, academic, government, or not-for-profit environments is considered an asset.
