Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time We will consider qualified applicants of all ages who are starting (or restarting) their careers As a Research & Development Engineering Co-op within the Interventional Cardiology division, you’ll support projects spanning exploratory research to new product development, including work on next-generation single-use and capital equipment devices. This role offers hands-on experience with real-world problem solving, design, and system-level engineering, with responsibilities tailored to your strengths. We’re looking for a motivated engineer ready to contribute meaningful solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced med-tech environment.

Requirements

• Must graduate between Fall 2027 – Spring 2029
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate level degree majoring in Biomedical OR Mechanical Engineering
• Must be able to commit to the co-op program dates January 11th – August 13th
• Must be available to work full-time (up to 40 hours per week), Monday through Friday, on-site five days per week
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, and prototype new device concepts to address clinical feedback
• Develop new and innovative test methods for in vitro device testing
• Assist new product development teams with device design and testing
• Perform troubleshooting on new products/process problems as related to design, material, or process
• Research and analyze clinical and market data to identify new market opportunities
• At times you will be asked to work independently to plan and schedule own activities necessary to meet business timelines and provide updates to other team members
