About The Position

Honeywell UOP R&D’s Manufacturing and Product Technology (MPT) group develops catalyst and adsorbent products from prototype through commercial production and provides technical support to the Integrated Supply Chain. Based in Chickasaw, Alabama, this role leads and contributes to projects involving catalyst development, production support, and scale-up for petrochemicals, sustainable fuels, and traditional refining. The role plans and conducts experimental programs, performs hands-on laboratory and semi-works experiments, and indirectly supervises laboratory technicians carrying out experimental plans. The engineer develops expertise in manufacturing technologies such as catalyst support forming, metals impregnation, and heat treatment; applies catalyst science and modeling and Six Sigma tools; and collaborates across UOP departments and regional MPT and supply-chain teams to advance products through manufacturing trials toward commercial production. The position also evaluates equipment, work processes, and data-management strategies, follows relevant patents and literature, and conducts work with a strong focus on safety. Relocation assistance is available. Candidates must meet U.S. Person requirements for compliance with export-control laws: be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, have protected status under asylum or refugee status, or have the ability to obtain export authorization.
