E Ink is seeking a creative chemist to join a team making innovations in electrophoretic ink materials systems. This opportunity is for a full-time scientist to work under the supervision of Senior Research Scientists. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of color pigments and the new electronic ink formulations. This position is with E Ink’s Research Department.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, materials science and engineering or relevant science fields
  • 0-2 years of experience working in a laboratory environment with a variety of equipment
  • Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to write scientific reports/technical updates
  • Self-directed, motivated, and hands-on personality
  • Ability to multitask, work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Aptitude in acquiring new knowledge and skills, flexible to adapt to changes

Nice To Haves

  • knowledge and experience in polymer and colloid science is much preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work with senior technical staff to conduct laboratory experiments primarily in pigment surface modification and ink formulations
  • Collaborate with analytical scientists to characterize pigments and materials
  • Perform electrical and electro optical measurements for new color displays
  • Document processes and results
  • Participate in group and project meetings
  • Work safely in the laboratory adhering to the company’s safety protocols and policies
