Carnegie Mellon University's Mellon College of Science (MCS) is seeking a Research Associate for its Physics Department. This role will utilize data from Dark Energy Camera, Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument, and/or Rubin Observatory to identify potential multi-messenger sources and new transients using AI methods. While primarily data analysis-focused, there may be an observational component depending on results and telescope time availability. The successful candidate will join Prof. Palmese's lab and contribute to research in time domain astrophysics.
