Mather Institute, a recognized leader in aging and senior living research, is seeking two full-time Research Associates to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for professionals who are passionate about research that drives real-world impact, helping translate evidence into programs, services, and experiences that enhance wellbeing for residents, team members, and older adults nationwide. The Research Associate position contributes to the successful execution of applied research and internal survey initiatives focused on health and wellbeing, wellness technology, and resident and team member experience within the senior living and aging services industries. We are seeking quantitative researchers with a Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Public Health, health or social science field who bring experience in survey research, data management, statistical analysis, literature reviews, and report development. Successful candidates will have strong written and verbal communication skills, experience working with statistical software such as SPSS, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with residents, researchers, community teams, vendors, and organizational leaders. You'll contribute to literature reviews, data collection and analysis, project coordination, participant engagement, presentations, research communications, and dissemination efforts. The Research Associate roles are salaried, full-time, hybrid based out of Mather's HQ office in Evanston, Illinois and must be local to Chicagoland, with flexibility to travel regularly to Mather's luxury senior living communities in Evanston/Wilmette, Illinois, Tucson, Arizona, and Tysons, Virginia.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in psychology or other health-related field.
  • Experience with survey and data management.
  • Sound statistical skills and experience using statistical analysis software (preferably SPSS).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience conducting literature searches and contributing to literature reviews.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with team members to meet project goals and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts recruitment, survey development, data collection, database management, and data analyses for internal/external research studies.
  • Coordinates project tasks such as participant scheduling for data collection; provides updates and serves as an information resource for project participants; manages/tracks processes for various MI projects.
  • Develops reports for internal/external audiences, contributes to manuscripts for publication in industry and professional journals and publications for web pages, newsletters, preparation of research presentations, and other media.
  • Presents research findings at professional conferences/seminars.
  • Performs miscellaneous research assignments, including IRB applications and literature reviews.
