Pay Range: $40,300.00 - $66,250.00 Position Summary: Bio-Techne’s Luminex Operations manufactures made-to-order Luminex Multiplexing Assays that allow researchers to perform studies on a variety of different diseases that are critical for drug discoveries and clinical studies. As a Research Associate in Luminex Operations, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing processes within various Luminex made-to-order assay platforms and to ensure quick product turnaround, high quality, and customer satisfaction. This is an exempt position.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent required with 0 to 2 years of work experience in a lab, or an associate’s degree in Biological Sciences or related with a minimum of 2 years work experience in a lab.
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment (e.g. pipettes, centrifuge, computers, etc.)
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high-level accuracy.
  • Proficiency in professional communication, both orally and in writing.
  • Perform work independently on routine assignments or projects and work with a team.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate microparticle and biotin cocktails for made-to-order Luminex multiplex assays according to established SOPs.
  • Perform qualification of Luminex assay components including microparticles and biotins stocks.
  • Trouble shooting of non-confirming Luminex assays with guidance.
  • Track and maintain inventory of assay components, requesting new stocks as required.
  • Report and analyze data in multiple databases.
  • Prepare and stock diluents and standards as needed to process orders.
  • Follow guidelines for company safety, quality, training procedures, and regulation policies.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
