Pay Range: $40,300.00 - $66,250.00 Position Summary: Bio-Techne’s Luminex Operations manufactures made-to-order Luminex Multiplexing Assays that allow researchers to perform studies on a variety of different diseases that are critical for drug discoveries and clinical studies. As a Research Associate in Luminex Operations, you will be responsible for supporting manufacturing processes within various Luminex made-to-order assay platforms and to ensure quick product turnaround, high quality, and customer satisfaction. This is an exempt position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent required with 0 to 2 years of work experience in a lab, or an associate’s degree in Biological Sciences or related with a minimum of 2 years work experience in a lab.
Knowledge of laboratory equipment (e.g. pipettes, centrifuge, computers, etc.)
Ability to handle repetitive tasks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
Ability to plan, organize and multi-task to complete assignments in an efficient manner.
Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high-level accuracy.
Proficiency in professional communication, both orally and in writing.
Perform work independently on routine assignments or projects and work with a team.

Responsibilities

Formulate microparticle and biotin cocktails for made-to-order Luminex multiplex assays according to established SOPs.
Perform qualification of Luminex assay components including microparticles and biotins stocks.
Trouble shooting of non-confirming Luminex assays with guidance.
Track and maintain inventory of assay components, requesting new stocks as required.
Report and analyze data in multiple databases.
Prepare and stock diluents and standards as needed to process orders.
Follow guidelines for company safety, quality, training procedures, and regulation policies.
Perform routine equipment maintenance.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
