About The Position

LionTree is seeking an individual to join our Public & Capital Markets division, which has a multifaceted mandate across thematic research/insights, institutional investor coverage, and IPO advisory. The role involves creating editorial content on media, technology, and the digital economy, assisting in the preparation of a weekly TMT thematic report for top clients, and staying abreast of industry trends. Additionally, the position supports planning and executing company and sector discussions, maintaining processes and databases, supporting IPO advisory efforts, client interaction, and cross-product collaboration.

  • Must have the ability to distill large amounts of information succinctly and be able to cut through the noise.

  • Must be entrepreneurial, a self-starter, and have a strong work ethic.
  • Must have a level of knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and the public markets.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a small team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.

Nice To Haves

  • Buyside relationships with TMT investors & experience with investing.
  • Experience using FactSet and Bloomberg, and other data aggregation programs.

Responsibilities

  • Create editorial content covering a wide range of topics in the media, technology, and digital economy sectors.
  • Assist in the preparation of a weekly TMT thematic report distributed to top clients.
  • Assist in other monthly and quarterly thematic content creation and distribution.
  • Stay on top of key industry and sector trends.
  • Help plan, support, and execute company and sector discussions and bus tours with institutional investor clients.
  • Help maintain processes, systems, and databases.
  • Support IPO advisory efforts.
  • Interact and engage with clients, internal constituents, and senior management teams.
  • Participate in cross-product collaboration with banking advisory and merchant banking teams.
