About The Position

The Dr. Wang Lab is seeking a Research Associate to join their team. This role involves conducting research in physiology, molecular biology, cell biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field. The successful candidate will contribute to research projects, requiring appropriate research experience and training in molecular, cellular, or animal physiology. The position is at the rank of Research Associate and requires excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team is essential.

Requirements

  • Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited institution in physiology, molecular biology, cell biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
  • Appropriate research experience and training in molecular, cellular, or animal physiology.
  • Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Research Associate.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary research team.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Rodent microsurgery, kidney injury models, or organ transplantation models is highly desirable.
  • Experience with one or more of the following is preferred: Western Blotting, immunoprecipitation, Primary cell culture, Confocal microscopy, Single cell RNA sequencing, Proteomics, bioinformatics, or neonatology.
  • Experience with renal physiology, Ischemia-reperfusion injury, regulated cell death, transplantation or related area is a plus.
  • Strong record of scientific productivity and demonstrated the ability to conduct research independently and collaboratively.
