About The Position
The Department of Genetics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. The appointment is initially for one year. Continuation during that period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and funding availability, with appointments limited to three years. Expertise is required in human genetics, developmental genetics, epigenetics, functional genomics, or computational genomics. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to receive mentorship in grant writing and grant proposals suitable for early-stage academic investigators.
Requirements
- M.D. and/or Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
- Expertise in human genetics, developmental genetics, epigenetics, functional genomics, or computational genomics.
Responsibilities
- Design and carry out genetic experiments.
- Prepare manuscripts.
- Supervise students.
