About The Position

An affiliate of Colossal is seeking an experienced Research Associate/Senior Research Associate to support precision genome engineering in non-model mammalian organisms. The role produces and validates CRISPR/Cas9, prime editing, base editing, and multiplex editing reagents that enable Cell Engineering colleagues to generate edited cell lines. The position is for a technically proficient, hands-on contributor who can independently execute established workflows and contribute from the outset. It is based on-site in Dallas, Texas, and relocation assistance is available. The role works with Genome Engineering scientists to implement and troubleshoot editing designs, then transfers validated reagents and clear experimental documentation to Cell Engineering colleagues for transfection and downstream cellular workflows. It also supports PCR-based genotyping, sequencing preparation, and analysis of single-locus and multiplex editing outcomes while maintaining laboratory records, inventories, and quality-control documentation. Colossal describes its culture as positive, hopeful, collaborative, creative, and committed to making a difference. The company welcomes people from all backgrounds and is committed to an inclusive workplace free from discrimination and harassment.
