We are seeking a Research Associate II or Senior Research Associate to join our Cell Sciences team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong molecular biology skills and a passion for scientific innovation. The position is focused on molecular cloning, construct generation, and nucleic acid quantification in support of cell line development and the advancement of novel therapeutic antibodies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or a related field.
- Research Associate II requires bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of industry experience.
- Senior Research Associate requires bachelor’s degree with 5+ years or master’s degree with 3+ years of industry experience.
- 2+ years of hands-on lab experience in molecular biology techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
Nice To Haves
- Hands-on experience with digital droplet PCR (ddPCR) and/or quantitative PCR (qPCR), including assay design and data analysis, is strongly preferred.
- Liquid handler and automation experience are a plus.
- Experience with next-generation sequencing workflows is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and high-throughput molecular biology techniques, PCR, digital droplet PCR (ddPCR), restriction endonuclease digestion, Gibson Assembly, Golden Gate Assembly, bacterial transformations, and plasmid purification.
- Design mammalian expression plasmids and cloning strategies for proteins and multi-specific antibodies.
- Collaborate with team members to support cloning and construct generation for protein expression and cell line development.
- Assist in troubleshooting and optimizing molecular workflows to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results in electronic lab notebooks.
- Manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain lab organization and inventory of reagents and supplies.
