The Research Associate I/II is responsible for executing experiments that facilitate the development, optimization or modification, and validation of assays used in the research laboratory. May contribute to experimental design and data analysis. We are seeking a motivated Research Associate with a strong background in biochemistry and hands-on experience in protein-related research. The ideal candidate will have completed a Master’s thesis focused on proteins—such as structure, folding, interactions, or enzymatic function—and be eager to contribute to cutting-edge projects in protein characterization and drug discovery.

Requirements

  • M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biophysics, Bioengineering, or a related field.
  • Completion of a Master’s thesis focused on proteins (e.g., enzyme kinetics, protein-protein interactions, structural or functional studies) is preferred.
  • 0-3+ years of experience working in assay development of chemistry or molecular based test platforms in a variety of biological matrices (i.e., CSF, skin, blood).
  • Proven experience with techniques such as ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, chromatography (FPLC/HPLC), recombinant protein expression systems, and spectroscopic or calorimetric assays is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, oral and collaboration skills.
  • Must work well in a team environment.
