As a Research Associate II, you will support antibody discovery and antibody library pipeline activities by performing hands-on molecular biology laboratory work and generating high-quality data and documentation in accordance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines. You will contribute to routine assay execution, data review, and continuous improvement under moderate supervision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field is required; Bachelor’s Degree plus 2-3 years of related experience in method development or specific methodology area or a Master’s degree; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Required hands-on experience performing PCR
  • Required experience with restriction digests and general wet-lab techniques, including experience conducting independent research
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate, compliant documentation and deliver quality data to timelines
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills with the ability to learn new techniques and contribute to technical discussions

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document analytical procedures in accordance with company procedures and regulatory guidelines and maintain compliant records
  • Execute molecular biology workflows including PCR and restriction digests to support research and development activities
  • Prepare samples, buffers, and solutions required for assigned laboratory procedures and analyses
  • Support antibody discovery and library validation activities through routine experimental execution such as transformations, cloning support, and immunoassay workflows as assigned
  • Conduct routine data analysis to confirm procedures are proceeding according to expectations and results are within acceptable tolerances
  • Identify abnormal progress, potential quality failures, or unusual results and escalate to senior lab personnel immediately
  • Assist with troubleshooting and process improvements to increase data quality, reduce turnaround time, or lower costs
  • Prepare data analysis results for upload to ELN/LIMS under the guidance of senior level staff and support equipment calibration and maintenance as assigned
