About The Position

Avid Bioservices is seeking a talented Research Associate to join their Analytical Development team. This role focuses on developing innovative analytical methodologies for protein biologics. The Research Associate will work closely with experienced analytical Scientists to identify and characterize protein biologics. The primary focus will be to develop Cell-based, ELISA, HPLC, CE, PCR and/or SDS-PAGE methods, with opportunities to interface with Quality Control for method transfers to cGMP testing. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in the Biological or Physical Sciences with 2+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles.
Experience with analytical method development using bioanalytical techniques
Should have experience with at least one of the following: ELISA, Cell-Based Assays, HPLC, CE, icIEF, PCR, SDS-PAGE

Nice To Haves

Experience in assay validation/ qualification as well as industry regulations that apply to job functions are a plus!

Responsibilities

Perform laboratory tasks to support the development, optimization, validation and routine testing of protein therapeutics via protein characterization techniques.
Demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following: ELISA, Cell-Based Assays, HPLC, CE, icIEF, PCR, SDS-PAGE
Document method development and validation activities according to current practices.
Assist in training analysts on new methods and transfer methods to cGMP Quality Control lab, as necessary.
Work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.
Provide regular updates to Process Development department and other functional teams as necessary.
Other tasks as assigned.
