Research Associate, Analytical Development
About The Position
Avid Bioservices is a leading clinical and commercial biologics CDMO focused on creating innovative solutions to meet the needs of its clients and improve patient outcomes. The company is seeking a talented Research Associate to join its Analytical Development team to develop innovative analytical methodologies for protein biologics. In this role, the Research Associate will work closely with experienced analytical Scientists to identify and characterize protein biologics. The focus will be on developing Cell-based, ELISA, HPLC, CE, PCR and/or SDS-PAGE methods, and the individual will interface with Quality Control as methods are transferred for cGMP testing. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team making a difference in the world of biologics.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in the Biological or Physical Sciences with 2+ years of relevant experience and demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles.
- Experience with analytical method development using bioanalytical techniques
- Should have experience with at least one of the following: ELISA, Cell-Based Assays, HPLC, CE, icIEF, PCR, SDS-PAGE
Nice To Haves
- Experience in assay validation/ qualification as well as industry regulations that apply to job functions are a plus!
Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tasks to support the development, optimization, validation and routine testing of protein therapeutics via protein characterization techniques.
- Demonstrate proficiency in one or more of the following: ELISA, Cell-Based Assays, HPLC, CE, icIEF, PCR, SDS-PAGE
- Document method development and validation activities according to current practices.
- Assist in training analysts on new methods and transfer methods to cGMP Quality Control lab, as necessary.
- Work in a fast-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work.
- Provide regular updates to Process Development department and other functional teams as necessary.
- Other tasks as assigned.
