The Research Associate 1, SOM supports research activities for the assigned division by conducting laboratory experiments on assigned research projects. Moreover, the incumbent operates with the goal of advancing his/her expertise through continued education, training, and research. This role involves working with the ID Research Unit Principal Investigator and Project Directors on on-going project needs for active multisite & single site research studies to meet deliverable deadlines. The position requires identifying, screening, and recruiting eligible participants, obtaining informed consent, and explaining study procedures. The Research Associate will support Clinical Research Coordinators in scheduling, preparing, and conducting participant study visits, performing study assessments, and interfacing with laboratory staff for sample processing. Ensuring the accuracy of study visit forms, maintaining study binders, and upholding participant confidentiality are key aspects of this role. The position also involves participating in team meetings and trainings.
