The Research Assistant will play a key role in advancing radiation-related and space research projects, with an emphasis on molecular biology, biochemistry, -omics approaches, and in vivo/in vitro experimental work. This position requires hands-on execution of complex experiments, meticulous sample processing, and contribution to data analysis and figure preparation. The scope of work will evolve with new projects and emerging research priorities. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: Conduct radiation-focused experiments involving cell cultures and animal models (mice), including sample collection (biofluids, tissues). Process biological samples (cell, human, and mouse biofluids and tissues) for large-scale data acquisition. Perform molecular biology and biochemical assays, including (but not limited to) DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, RT-qPCR, protein isolation, ELISA, colorimetric and fluorescent assays, histology, and western blotting.
