Professor Raúl Rubio (Languages) is seeking a graduate student to serve as a research assistant. The student will engage with ongoing work related to publication(s). Related to Academic Projects & Creative Writing (in Spanish & English) in relation to Cuba, Latin America & Latinx Studies, Performance, Ethnic & Gender Studies. Particular research and creative practice projects include: academic research support related to Cuba; humor studies; and performance art studies. The position supports editorial and project management activities, including drafting book proposals and chapters, coordinating with contributors and editors, and preparing manuscripts and correspondence with presses and other venues. Additional responsibilities include procuring research materials, managing databases and web development, overseeing visual materials and copyright compliance, and coordinating reproduction requests. Candidates should have a completed or in-process bachelor’s degree, relevant skills or professional experience, and any required professional certifications or scheduling flexibility.
