About The Position

The research associate carries out experiments as part of a team of bio-medical researchers to investigate the molecular mechanisms mediating diseases. They will also record and analyze experimental results and collaborate effectively with other team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains a lab database of technical and animal protocols, plasmids, antibodies and other key resources.
  • Keeps accurate records of reagents.
  • Troubleshoots experimental design malfunctions and implements solutions, interfaces directly with equipment manufacturers for adjustments and repairs.
  • Instructs research personnel on specialized techniques and complex protocols; coordinates and participates in intra-collegial presentations and meetings.
  • Trains and mentors research personnel.
  • Analyzes results of experiments independently.
  • Develops scientific hypotheses related to ongoing work in the laboratory.
