The Research Assistant II role is based within the Interventional Radiology department, which supports translational and applied research focused on image-guided therapies and the development of innovative biomaterials and medical devices. The Research Assistant II contributes to laboratory-based research activities involving biomaterials, imaging technologies, and preclinical models that advance interventional radiology applications. MD Anderson Cancer Center is a leading institution focused on cancer care, research, education, and prevention. In this Research Assistant II position, the individual supports MD Anderson’s mission by contributing to research programs that integrate scientific discovery with clinical innovation. The Research Assistant II works closely with professional staff and research teams to support ongoing laboratory and imaging-based studies. The ideal candidate for this role brings hands-on laboratory research experience with a working knowledge of basic chemistry, biology, experimental design, and data processing. Experience with biomaterials, cell culture, imaging research, or preclinical models is beneficial, along with the ability to work independently, document research findings, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary research teams.
