About The Position

This is a full-time, grant-funded position for two years, located in Torrey Pines. The Research Assistant I will join the team at the Shiley Center for Orthopaedic Research and Education (SCORE) at Scripps Health. SCORE's physicians and scientists study the effects of traumatic injuries and sports activities to determine how well joint replacement and reconstruction techniques or the use of experimental prostheses can restore joint mechanics and range of motion. The ideal candidate must be flexible to adjust to changing priorities and eager to learn.

Requirements

  • High school diploma required.
  • 1-2 years experience in a research setting.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office software.
  • Organized and detailed oriented.
  • Strong motivator/communicator in a compact clinical team working with aggressive timelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in biological, biomedical or related major

Responsibilities

  • Assists with multiple aspects of clinical trials ensuring data integrity, positive interactions with potential study subjects, document management, administrative support and evaluation process.
  • Keeps internal data entry systems up-to-date.
  • Provides superior service to principle investigators and research sponsors within scope of responsibilities.
